School Prep 1

#14 “School Prep 1: decisions” I gave Zane the prompt words and let him choose what color “matched” it and I needed to take a picture so that I knew which color went with each word in case my stack got messed up. (Zach just wanted me to avoid a “rainbow” look since I plan on making him a bracelet to wear in the same colors so that he can have the visual clue for describing things) BTW, the curriculum this originates from is “Visualizing and Verbalizing”

The Happiest Snack Ever

Zora’s most requested snack (usually with mustard or ketchup, but she tries to talk me into grape jelly too)

Random Saturday

At Exploration Place, “Little Explorers Workshop” started back up. The theme was “snow” and they had instant snow they could make (you add water to white powder and it grows into snow…really freaky and neat looking), made “snow ice cream” (well, with ice instead of snow because there is no snow right now), and did a snowman craft.

Comment on Zora’s picture: I was impressed with the face. She is getting a lot better at fine motor control and keeping the face where it should be.

Comment on Zane’s picture: I love the expressiveness of the picture (although I am not sure it really translated well to film). One interesting thing was the scarf. He did the main part in red, as you can see, but his interpretation of the red over the blue paper on the scarf tails was that it was done in a brown instead of red, so he picked up the brown crayon to draw that part.

Zora loves having access to the trampoline, but instead of just jumping, she often gets undressed and then jumps. She had a dress, socks and shoes on a minute before this. I guess she is annoyed because they got in the way. lol

Being goofy, snuggled in the blanked Zach got from my Grandma.

project365, #10 “Jump”

The trampoline has moved it’s way around our house. When we got it, we were in the little apartment and there was no choice but to put it in the family room. When we moved here, we put it in Zane’s room. Zane doesn’t go hide out in his room like he used to and I could tell he wasn’t getting the sensory input he needed to feel good (and was resistant to us asking him to go jump in his room for a bit), so we moved it back to the living room.

Now he is back to jumping when he needs to (like while waiting for Daddy to fix his video game) and is much happier. (well, except that Zora also wants to jump and that doesn’t thrill him)

Steve and my birthday dinner.

His is about 4 months late, mine is a few days early. It was great. Mom and Dad took us to Olive Garden and we had a lot of fun talking and joking.

My handsome brother

Scrunching up her face in response to an offer to try a lemon wedge

Grandma sat in between her two favorite (only) grandkids, and they kept her busy during the meal.

And, when we got back home, in Zora’s attempt to get us to go back out again, put on every piece of jewelry she has. Silly girl.

And a little fun when Daddy gets home from work

By the way, she dressed herself. Yes, the top shirt is backwards, and I don’t know why she wanted to wear two shirts because it wasn’t all that cold this afternoon.

Some of the photo quality is crummy (I think my camera is dying and it is causing a great deal of frustration for me. It won’t stay in focus and photos are terribly grainy), but I included them anyway because they are fun.
