Zach is ready for bed.
-
Zora starts crying, wanting to nurse
-
The next two hours are spent nusing, fussing, crying, burping, fussing, farting…with a diaper change or two.
-
Eventually, Zora falls into a fitfull sleep
-
I resign myself to the fact that any attempt to get up to go to bed will result in going back to #2, without sleeping. Therefore, I fall asleep sitting up with her in my lap.
-
She sleeps for 2-3 hours and then goes back to #2
-
About the time I hear Zach’s alarm ringing in the bedroom, I am finally met with this:
*sigh*
The nights are long, but the time is so short.
Ten minutes later, Zane wanders in ready to start the day.
That is the most kissable little face! I’ve been where you are and I think just recently, now that dd is 2, my mind is starting to function closer to it’s pre-infant-in-the-house level. You’re so right, time is short and despite all the sleep deprivation that went with it, I do miss that tiny little body snoozing on my chest.
